S-M] Hybridizing wizard, Don Dean, has been mixing up his hosta potions, again, and this is no illusion! Or is it? ‘Wizard’s Illusion’ is a complex mix with dashes of ‘Tokudama’, pycnophylla, longipes, and more…the exact combination only a true wizard could master. The rounded leaves are very smooth, domed, and circled by wavy margins. Each chartreuse leaf is covered with a thick, waxy coating and the leaf veins glow brighter than the rest of the leaf. A unique and eerie look that gives way to brighter gold foliage later in the summer. Hosta ‘Wizard’s Illusion’ forms a low mound about 13″ tall and 28″ across that blooms in mid summer with light lavender flowers.
