[M] Trudy crossed two very popular plants (‘Cranberry Wine’ x ‘Curly Fries’) and ended up with something just as good, if not better. Hosta ‘Red Wine Fries’ has elongated, pointed leaves that are wavy and twisted. The spring color is blue-grey, that turns medium green by late summer. Stout, purple petioles hold the foliage upright, forming a fountain-like clump full of motion. Hosta ‘Red Wine Fries’ is a beautiful, fast grower that blooms in late summer.
